Introducing the Thornton Hybrid Whistle

This whistle originated from an exciting collaboration between Paraic McNeelas Wild Irish Whistle and my wooden body Thornton whistle. We took the original design of the Wild whistle mouthpiece, made some adjustments, and made it work with the tapered wooden body of my whistles.

They will be offered in various woods including African blackwood, boxwood, katalox and various rosewoods. 
 

I also make a version using a polymer for the body too. The tone is a bit brighter than wood but sweet and toneful. It has a tiny bit more volume too.
